In other news- Nate laughed for the FIRST time ever yesterday (not at me, sadly)... but it was a full out cackle/giggle at Misty!  YAY!  Its so neat to be able to get excited about these minute little details.  It makes me appreciate my creator for making us so complex and perfect!  Nathan is my biggest blessing!

So its december and we've taken our first holiday pics!  We did a pro shoot at Walmart (they had great deals) and then a home shoot at the Isbells!  Both were fun and quite the experience.  I've learned that it is so hard to plan your life with a month old baby.  He has his own agenda- always.  Just when I think its going to be easy to get somewhere or go do something, he foils my plans by being fussy or getting hungry early or dirtying his outfit, etc.  I'm sure I'll get used to it soon!

Right now, we're trying hard to get ready for our trip to Mexico to visit Isaac and his family.  I am SOOO not ready!  I'm a MAJOR procrastinator- and w Nate, it just got SOO much worse!  I've yet to be on time to anything this month i think...   Anyway, needless to say I have TONS to do so i prob wont' update again until i get back after the 19th.   This should be a fun trip- but i'm sure it will prove challenging by traveling with a baby alone internationally.  It'll be an adventure!!!

Ok well enough procrastinating... time to feed the little guy and get some rest- tomorrow is a MAJOR work day!  Mexico, here we come!!

Its been over a month since i've updated..... Lots of things in my life have changed already!  For example- on saturday I made a 24 hr trip up to AR, but instead of it being an easy SHORT drive, it was FOREVER long AND nothing happened like I hoped or planned.  Life w a baby is much... whats the word... slower? I've always had probs w being on time... but this is taking me to a NEW level of tardiness!  At least now when I arrive, ppl aren't too upset (yet) cuz I have a baby!  He's great!  By the way- sorry if I didn't get to visit w you on my trip to AR... but like i said- nothing happened as I planned, I didn't even stop in ARkadoo and didn't get to do much other than eat at OUtback and see Paige for a couple hours.  I'll come back in Jan I think!

Anyway- duty calls... Gotta get a few things done before Nate wakes up!

Yesterday was a SUPER busy and SUPER FUN day!  I got to play and run around with Misty Isbell and we got Mani's and Pedi's and looked at wedding stuff (she's newly engaged) and baby stuff and mom stuff and all sorts of stuff!  It was super- but she WORE ME OUT!!!  WE went to the mall even and walked a lot- which everyone says is a good thing.  After the mall and everything else and runnin around for about 8 hrs, i finally dropped her off at home and headed to my house to await Heather's arrival to play some more!  We had dinner at Olive Garden and then came back and did the final pre-baby load (i HOPE) of baby laundry... then struggled to get the crib upstairs and put together!  We finished setting up the room upstairs at around 2 and then had our dessert from O.G (Choc Mousse cake! YUMM)!  I finally went to bed around 5 (after talkin heather home on the phone) and didn't wake up till 2:15 this afternoon! 

I have a story of incompetence from the mall yesterday... it was SOOO irritating!  We'd been shopping all day and finally found our last purchase of the day... i was in line to check out.  Its like 6:15 by this point and Misty needs to hurry home cuz Daniel was comin over after work!  We wait for the ONE slow sales chick in the store to check out the lady in front of me and then move up (she was SOOOO slow!) It took FOREVER!... So finally I'm waiting to pay for my 3 items and the store phone rings... she politely smiles and tells me to hold on just a sec as she sets my items to the side, she answers the phone.  She obviously knows the girl on the other end, and proceeds to talk to her without TOUCHING my clothes and talks all about the store that day, the other employees, Who's off on Saturday, etc for about 7 minutes with me standing at the counter (the only other customer in the store) just WAITING to be checked out!  Misty and I kept lookin at each other like- ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How RUDE!  So FINALLY the phone is hung up, she proceeds to tear off my tags to scan them and then looks at the computer (like we're finally gonna check out) when the phone rings AGAIN.  She of course stops what she's doing w my stuff (not that she's done MUCH at this point) and talks to what seems to be the SAME person.  She turns away from me and continues to chat.  THEN, she gets out this book from under the counter with the schedule on it and starts talking about who's off on Saturday and all sorts of things, and then starts to get on the computer (that I was ABOUT to be checked out on) telling the girl on the other line "ya i need to log on here to look it up on the system'.  I look at her (not that shes glanced back at me or done a thing w my purchases since the phone rang) and say "IS THIS GONNA TAKE LONG?  I have places to be." and just kinda glared at this point.... She was like- Oh, ummm ok. 

After a moment of indecision, she FINALLY tells the person on the otehr line that she has to take care of a customer and she'll call her back.  DUH!  You shouldve done that in the first place! i was the ONLY one in there.  I wouldn't have minded if she'd been on the phone and rung me up at the same time, or wahtever- but no, apparently she couldn't multi-task... SO ya! RIDICULOUSNESS!  People are soooo retarded!  I couldn't believe it! she had me waiting AT the counter while she gossiped about other employees for like 10-13 min!  I would have left if I didn't really need the items!  ANNOYING!  Just wanted to vent!
